Single Tooth Dental Implants – Cerritos, CA

Seamless Single Tooth Replacement

Are you missing just one tooth? If so, you may be putting off getting it replaced. Afterall, it’s just one tooth, right? Unfortunately, even a single missing tooth can not only affect you’re appearance, but also your health. Your teeth rely on each other for support, so when one goes missing, the others can shift out of place, causing misalignment. Additionally, your teeth stimulate your jawbone to keep it healthy and strong. When you lose a tooth, you lose some of the stimulation you once had, putting your jaw at risk of deterioration. This can cause a sunken facial appearance and even additional tooth loss. Thankfully, there’s a way to avoid all of these problems! Read on to learn about your replacement options and why a dental implant is the best solution for a complete smile.

Single Tooth Replacement Options

We have two different options for single tooth replacement:

Fixed Bridge

This option is a custom-made prosthetic that literally bridges the gap in your smile. We will remove a slight portion of your enamel on either side of the space before mounting your dental bridge. This is held in place with crowns on top of your natural teeth, which is why a small amount of dental structure is removed. The result is a replacement of the visible portion of the tooth.

Single Tooth Implant

This replacement restores your tooth from the roots up. A dental implant is a tiny titanium post that is surgically placed in the jaw to act as an artificial tooth root. Once it’s placed, we will allow 3 to 4 months for it to fuse to your jawbone. This osseointegration process lets you enjoy your implant for the rest of your life with proper care. Once it has integrated, we will mount your custom-made dental crown on top for the only complete tooth replacement.

Benefits of Implant-Supported Single Tooth Replacement

While any replacement is better than none at all, an implant-supported restoration can offer many unique benefits, including:

  • Strength: Rooted in the jaw, dental implants allow you to eat all of your favorite tough and chewy foods.
  • Confidence: Implant-supported tooth replacement looks and feels like natural teeth, allowing you to smile with confidence in any setting.
  • Health: Dental implants stimulate your jawbone to prevent it from deteriorating after tooth loss. They also preserve your remaining natural teeth.
  • Appearance: Dental implants are the closest thing to your natural teeth, making them indistinguishable—you may even forget where they are in your smile!
